The CAS-3 unit is mounted on the inside of the container lid — close to the hinge — and measures fill depth through the transparent polycarbonate lid window using laser technology. The compact enclosure (120×80×55 mm) houses the sensor, processor, wireless module and a long-life battery providing approximately three years of operation between replacements.
